輔仁大學為涵蓋逾 50 個系所之全人大學,具備完整跨域整合優勢。2015 年設立「創意設計中心(Creative Design Center, CDC)」,以醫療x健康照護x跨域設計為發展主軸。
本校以大健康議題為重點,中心舉辦超過45場大健康議題系列工作坊,並協助師生將創意落地實踐,成果包括:【智能眼鏡腦傷居家復健系統】取得台灣及美國發明專利,並獲聯發科「智在家鄉」特別獎與落地補助,且與輔大醫院神經科團隊合作IRB實測;開發巴金森氏症認知訓練【創意演話論】桌遊產品原型,並與國立台灣大學物理治療系合作實測;【EAZU義肢外觀租借站】榮獲美國IDA國際設計金獎等,落實本校跨領域交流與創新,成為各領域新創設計師的交流生態圈Innovative Designers Ecosystem。
自 2017 年起與史丹佛大學校友Alec Walker團隊合作推動 d-thinking 設計思考教學,並於 2019 年加入教育部跨領域設計思考苗圃計畫,轉型為跨域師資培訓之區域基地,建構跨域教學與實踐機制。迄今已建構 8 套教學模組、45 支成果影片與 4 本專書,整合線上與實體平台,持續推動跨域連結與創新擴散。
Fu Jen Catholic University is a comprehensive institution with more than 50 academic departments, offering strong advantages in interdisciplinary integration. In 2015, the university established the Creative Design Center (CDC), focusing on the development of Health care × Medicine × Design. With “health and well-being” as a major institutional priority, the Center has organized more than 45 workshops on related themes and has supported faculty and students in transforming creative ideas into practical solutions. Achievements include: The Smart Glasses Home Rehabilitation System for Traumatic Brain Injury, which obtained invention patents in both Taiwan and the United States, received the MediaTek “Genius for Home” Special Award and implementation funding, and was tested through an IRB trial in collaboration with the Neurology Department of Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital. The development of tabletop board game prototype for cognitive training in Parkinson’s disease, tested in collaboration with the Department of Physical Therapy at National Taiwan University. The EAZU Prosthetic Appearance Rental Station, which won the Gold Award at the IDA International Design Awards in the United States. Through these efforts, the Center has fostered interdisciplinary exchange and innovation across campus, forming an ecosystem for emerging designers known as the Innovative Designers Ecosystem.
Since 2017, the Center has collaborated with Stanford University alumnus Alec Walker and his team to promote d-thinking design thinking education. In 2019, the Center joined the Ministry of Education’s Interdisciplinary Design Thinking Miao-Pu Program, becoming a regional hub for interdisciplinary faculty training and building mechanisms for cross-domain teaching and practice. To date, the Center has developed eight teaching modules, 45 project videos, and four published books, integrating both online and physical platforms to continually advance interdisciplinary collaboration and the diffusion of innovation.
